第十七課 Lesson Seventeen

一、教學(xué)內(nèi)容

1.詞匯(略)。

2.句型:1) How far is it? 2) Let's get on the bus.

3.語(yǔ)法:小結(jié)代詞it的用法。

二、教具

錄音機(jī);教學(xué)掛圖(或模仿課文插圖自制)。

三、課堂教學(xué)設(shè)計(jì)

1.復(fù)習(xí)值日生報(bào)告。

教師可參照前幾課有關(guān)復(fù)習(xí)步驟進(jìn)行。

2.通過(guò)對(duì)第十五課的內(nèi)容進(jìn)行提問(wèn)的方式,引出本課要學(xué)的對(duì)話:

T: Are Jim and Li Lei going to have any classes next week?

Ss: No,they aren't.

T: What are they going to do next week?

Ss: They're going to work on a farm next week.

T:What work are they going to do there?

Ss:They're going to help the farmers with their work.

They're going to pick apples.

T: Right. They're going to work hard on the farm.(讓學(xué)生猜hard一詞的詞義)。

The farm is near, quite near. It's not far. Only a few kilometres.

教師將上述生詞寫(xiě)在黑板上,扼要說(shuō)明,反復(fù)領(lǐng)讀,直到學(xué)生初步掌握為止。

3.準(zhǔn)備放課文第1部分錄音。教師板書(shū)聽(tīng)前提問(wèn)(Pre-listenins questions):

1) Is Jim late? 2) How far is the farm?

放課文錄音一至兩遍,學(xué)生回答黑板上的問(wèn)題。再放錄音,學(xué)生打開(kāi)書(shū)跟讀,反復(fù)三遍。教師講解對(duì)話中的難句(見(jiàn)難點(diǎn)講解1、2)。

4.將大幅掛圖掛在黑板上(如條件不具備,可利用課本中插圖),教師先問(wèn)幾個(gè)一般問(wèn)題:

T: Where are the students? Are they at school?

Ss:No,they're on the farm.

T:Are they working hard?

Ss: Yes, they are.

教師借助掛圖,教授剩余生詞,反復(fù)領(lǐng)讀。確信學(xué)生初步掌握全部生詞后,叫起一位程度較好的同學(xué),進(jìn)行以下問(wèn)答練習(xí):

T: Can you see Li Lei in the picture?

Ss: Yes, I can.

T: What is he doing?

Ss:He's picking apples.

指導(dǎo)學(xué)生兩人一組,模仿剛才的示范表演,就這幅圖進(jìn)行問(wèn)答練習(xí)。

5.打開(kāi)練習(xí)冊(cè),要求學(xué)生用筆頭形式獨(dú)立完成習(xí)題1。如果時(shí)間允許,數(shù)分鐘后,可核對(duì)部分答案。

6.布置作業(yè)

1)練習(xí)朗讀本課對(duì)話;2)抄寫(xiě)生詞及短語(yǔ);3)完成練習(xí)冊(cè)習(xí)題。

四、難點(diǎn)講解

1.I think it's about seven.我想大約有7公里。

句中代詞it指距離。在seven之后,省略了kilometres。

代詞it的用法很多,請(qǐng)看以下例句:

1) A: Where is my book? l can't find it.我的書(shū)在哪兒?我找不到了。你看不見(jiàn)嗎?

就在桌子下面。

B:Can't you see?It's under the desk.

例句中it代替上文出現(xiàn)過(guò)的名詞book。

2) A: What's this in English?這個(gè)東西用英語(yǔ)怎樣說(shuō)?橡皮。

B: It's an eraser.

例句中it代替上文出現(xiàn)的另一代詞this(也可代替that)。

3) A: What time is it?幾點(diǎn)了?

B: It's a quarter to seven.差一刻七點(diǎn)。

例句中it指時(shí)間。

2.Let's get on the bus.讓我們上車吧。

這是一個(gè)祈使句。 Let's是let us的縮略形式,意為:“讓我們”;要做的事情包括聽(tīng)者在內(nèi)。在本課中,指李磊邀吉姆一同上車。如果所做的事情不包括聽(tīng)者在內(nèi),則一般不用縮略形式。例如:Please, Mr Hu, let us go home.胡老師,請(qǐng)讓我們回家吧。

第十八課 Lesson Eighteen

一、教學(xué)內(nèi)容

1.詞匯(略)。

2.句型:1) Is Jim picking more apples than Kate? 2) Who has the most apples, Li Lei,Jim or Lily? 3) He's stronger than her.

3.語(yǔ)法:數(shù)量的比較。

二、教具

錄音機(jī);約60本作業(yè)本。

三、課堂教學(xué)設(shè)計(jì)

1.復(fù)習(xí)值日生報(bào)告。

2.請(qǐng)一位同學(xué)站在前面,教師交給他(她)10個(gè)作業(yè)本。手指這位同學(xué)向全班說(shuō):

T: ×× has some exercise books.

再請(qǐng)另一位同學(xué)站在第一位同學(xué)旁邊,教師交給他(她)20個(gè)作業(yè)本。兩位同學(xué)都把本拿好,讓大家看清區(qū)別。教師說(shuō):

T: ××× has more exercise books than××.

反復(fù)說(shuō)兩遍,注重重讀more一詞,啟發(fā)大家猜測(cè)這句話含義(學(xué)生應(yīng)沒(méi)有多大困難)。

又請(qǐng)第三位同學(xué),與前兩位同學(xué)站在一起。教師讓該同學(xué)拿30個(gè)作業(yè)本。教師說(shuō):

T:××× has the most(exercise books) of all.

放慢語(yǔ)速,反復(fù)讀兩遍,啟發(fā)大家猜測(cè)這句話含義。教師將以上三句話書(shū)寫(xiě)在黑板上。扼要予以講解。

領(lǐng)讀生詞,指揮大家學(xué)說(shuō)這幾個(gè)句子(讓全班看著這三位同學(xué)說(shuō),增加直觀性)。反復(fù)練習(xí)說(shuō)幾遍,到學(xué)生能初步掌握為止。

教師手指這三位同學(xué),繼續(xù)提問(wèn):

T: Who has the most exercise books, ××,××× or ××?

And who has the fewest?

學(xué)生應(yīng)當(dāng)能較容易地正確答出。

3.打開(kāi)課本,學(xué)生看圖。放課文第1部分錄音,學(xué)生跟讀,反復(fù)三遍。

教師直接用課文第3部分問(wèn)題向?qū)W生提問(wèn),要求學(xué)生給出正確答案。

4.指導(dǎo)學(xué)生看課文第2部分插圖,教師可作如下提問(wèn),要學(xué)生做出正確應(yīng)答:

T: Who is picking more apples, Jim or Kate?

Which truck is carrying more ladders, the big one or the small one?

學(xué)生給出簡(jiǎn)略答語(yǔ)即可。

教strong這個(gè)生詞。放課文第2部分錄音,學(xué)生跟讀,反復(fù)三遍。

5.指導(dǎo)學(xué)生做練習(xí)冊(cè)習(xí)題。

6.布置作業(yè)

1)練習(xí)朗讀課文;2)抄寫(xiě)生詞、課文第1、3兩部分內(nèi)容;3)完成練習(xí)冊(cè)習(xí)題。

四、難點(diǎn)講解

1.He's stronger than her.他比她健壯。

be+形容詞(比較級(jí)形式)+than是比較級(jí)的基本句型。than是連詞,其后面既可用賓格代詞her,也可用主格代詞she。

2.Who has the most apples, Li Lei, Jim or Lily?誰(shuí)的蘋(píng)果最多,是李磊、吉姆還是莉莉?

三者或三者以上比較要用最高級(jí)。由于是在三者之間比較,連詞用or(或者),而不能用and(和)。

第十九課 Lesson Nineteen

一、教學(xué)內(nèi)容

1.詞匯(略)。

2.句型:1) Please be careful! 2) Don't go too high. 3) Some of the apples are hard to reach.

錄音機(jī)。

三、課堂教學(xué)設(shè)計(jì)

1.復(fù)習(xí)值日生報(bào)告。

2.打開(kāi)書(shū),學(xué)生看圖。教師通過(guò)提問(wèn),引出本課生詞:

T: What can you see in the picture?

Where is Han Meimei? What is she doing?(引出reach一詞)

Who is holding the ladder? What does he say?(引出本課其他生詞。)

放課文第1部分錄音,學(xué)生跟讀,反復(fù)三遍。

3.指導(dǎo)學(xué)生自己閱讀課文第2部分,要求學(xué)生用鉛筆劃出不認(rèn)識(shí)的詞或短語(yǔ),并結(jié)合上下文去猜測(cè)。教師板書(shū)讀前提問(wèn)(Pre-reading questions):

1) Where are the children working? 2) Whose apples are better, Jim's or Li Lei's?

教師規(guī)定學(xué)生在四分半鐘時(shí)間內(nèi)讀完(本段短文計(jì)145個(gè)詞)。規(guī)定時(shí)限過(guò)后,組織學(xué)生回答黑板上的問(wèn)題。讓學(xué)生挑出生詞,教師講解并領(lǐng)讀。

放課文第2部分錄音,學(xué)生跟讀,反復(fù)三遍。教師講解短文中難句(見(jiàn)難點(diǎn)講解1、2、3)。

4.指導(dǎo)學(xué)生做練習(xí)冊(cè)習(xí)題1。兩人一組,先用口頭回答,然后將答案記在練習(xí)冊(cè)上。

5.準(zhǔn)備做聽(tīng)力練習(xí)。給學(xué)生一分鐘準(zhǔn)備時(shí)間。放錄音三遍。學(xué)生邊聽(tīng)錄音,邊在練習(xí)冊(cè)上記錄答案。當(dāng)堂核對(duì)答案。

6.布置作業(yè)

1)練習(xí)朗讀本課對(duì)話和短文;2)抄寫(xiě)生詞及短語(yǔ);3)完成練習(xí)冊(cè)習(xí)題。

四、難點(diǎn)講解

1.Some of the apples are hard to reach.有些蘋(píng)果很難夠得著。

to be+形容詞這一結(jié)構(gòu)后面可接動(dòng)詞不定式短語(yǔ),用來(lái)形容做某事。例如:

It's easy to fly a kite.放風(fēng)箏很容易。

2.But mine are bigger than yours. 但是我的(蘋(píng)果)比你的(蘋(píng)果)大。

句中mine和yours都是名詞性物主代詞(參閱第一冊(cè)第十四單元)。

3.They're much bigger. 它們(指蘋(píng)果)大多了。

句中much是副詞,表示程度(參閱第十五課難點(diǎn)講解3)。

Step 1 Revision

1 Revise Lesson 19, Part 1, as in Step 3 of the TB.

2 Get the Ss to retell the story in SB page 19, Part 2.

Step 2 Word families

SB page 20, Part 1. Speech Cassette Lesson 20.

Play the tape: Ss listen and repeat. Practise the individual sounds, then words by showing flashcards randomly and asking Ss to pronounce the words written on them.

Wb Lesson 20, Ex. 1. The answers are: half, sock, work, month.

Step 3 Puzzle

SB page 20, Part 2. Let the Ss work on the puzzle alone or with a partner.

Check the answers with the whole class .

Note that in puzzle clues full stops are not usually required .

The answers are:

DOWN: 1 September, 2 dangerous

ACROSS:1 stand, 2 parent, 3 eleven,

4 borrow, 5 trucks

Step 4 Checkpoint 5

Go through Checkpoint 5 in the usual way.

Practise the s0i useful expressions s0i .

Discuss any problems raised by the Ss .

Step 5 Workbook

Wb Lesson 20, Ex. 2. It is a good idea if you have the information available in case the Ss do not know the answers .

The Ss ask and answer in pairs . Then collect the results on the Bb and ask questions about them:

Does Class 4 have fewer boys than Class 3?

Step 6 Test

Give a short dictation .

Look! * Li Lei is climbing* up the ladder.*

Now he's picking* the apples . * He's putting them* in a basket. * Li Lei's basket* is full. * It is heavier* than Jim's basket. * Li Lei has more apples* than Jim, * but Polly has* the fewest of all ! *

Step 7 Song

Teach the song in Wb Lesson 20, Ex. 3 if there is time.

Note:The song is on the Speech Cassette. Play the whole song on cassette to the students .Then play the first verse and get the students to join in. Do the other verses in the same way.

Divide the class into three groups and one group sings one verse. Repeat.

If you like, have a competiton between the groups .

Homework

Revise the language items in Unit 5.

Learn the contents of Checkpoint 5.

Learn the words of the song.
